We are looking for an

Accountant

to our competent Lumon Group finance team in Kouvola (we work hybrid and there is also an opportunity to work at our Vantaa office). The person in this position will be looking after the accounting processes of the group and have full responsibility of the books of certain group companies. Responsibilities include daily accounting and banking operations and monthly closing tasks, as well as annual year-end closing and reporting tasks.

What will you do:

Take responsibility of the accounting and finance of several group companies, and a shared the responsibility of group consolidation
Conducting and coordinating year-end closing and preparing financial statements and their footnotes
Preparations and validation of non-financial information to be reported according to the new Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive that Lumon Group follows from 2025 onwards
Run daily accounting activities, including keeping commercial books, bank settlements and handling liabilities and receivables
Support and co-operate with accounting colleagues in other Lumon countries
Collaboration with external auditors, service providers and other stakeholders
Assess of current practices and procedures, as well as development of recommendations for improvements
Participate in projects related to process optimization in the finance department and possible implementation of new systems and/or tools

What we expect:

Higher education in the field of Finance, Accounting or related field
Minimum of 7 years of experience in international multi-entity group
Knowledge of tax accounting and regulation
Experience in working with ERP system, preferably MS Dynamics 365 Finance and operations.
Excellent organizational, analytical and co-operational skills
Good Finnish and English language skills
Ability to make independent decisions and work under time pressure
