As an Azure Architect, you will build, implement, maintain and develop further new, and sustainable cloud services for a wide range of different kind of clients. Our clientele includes significant organizations such as Valmet, S Group, Paulig and Varma (case study example).

What is the role about?

We are looking for two types of Azure Architects : one with focus on Kubernetes , and one without. The container-orientated role will have an emphasis on leading the design and implementation of sophisticated container solutions using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) , ensuring that they are scalable, secure, and resilient.

Both roles will involve strategizing and planning future technological advancements, planning environments that support evolving business needs, and driving innovation through the adoption of emerging cloud technologies. You will be instrumental in developing disaster recovery and high availability strategies specifically tailored for containerized applications, guiding seamless migrations, and optimizing system performance to meet both current and future challenges. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to collaborate with diverse clients across various industries, providing strategic direction and technical leadership to leverage container technology for transformative business outcomes.

Building service entities based on Microsoft Azure cloud architectures take shape from definition to design, and all the way to development and deployment. You'll be a part of client team(s) surrounded by other skilled Azure experts working together in the core of both technology and our clients' business. What do we expect from you?

All our Azure professionals' common thing is that they can execute "hands-on" technical work when needed. You are also able to communicate fluently with people in different roles in English and in Finnish .

There are different priorities, in which your core skills may be, and we are curious and open to learn your unique path. Below aspects and directions of your interest can guide and define your role as an Azure Architect in our team:

3-5 years of experience in Azure cloud services. This means that you are interested in planning and designing architecture and/or being the strong builder and executioner of these architectures. Infrastructure as a code (IaC) is our process of choice.
Container-orientated role: 3-5 years of experience with container orchestration in preferably in Azure, specifically focusing on designing, developing, implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting containerized applications and their structures using technologies such as Kubernetes and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
DevOps mindset; You understand modern ways of setting things up with native tools and code, and you find ways to automate (from infrastructure to business logic).
Infrastructure as a code experience
Proficiency in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications, with experience in integrating Azure Container Registry and using Helm for package management.
Expertise in implementing and managing security practices within Kubernetes, including network policies and security contexts, with a strong understanding of Azure security tools like Defender for Cloud

Beneficial but not mandatory skills

Experience with Kubernetes monitoring tool, such as Prometheus
Ingress controllers (Azure application gateway ingress controller & Nginx)
Azure Devops
Infrastructure as a code experience with Azure Bicep
